The excessive increase in temperature is the main cause of the decline in production in mammals. In conditions of stress an external intervention is needed to bring the body temperature of the animal in welfare conditions.

The basic functions delegated to ventilation are: remove harmful gases produced by metabolic processes and by the fermentation of the excrement, remove dust and atmospheric microbism, eliminate the exceeding water vapor, bring the necessary oxygen and mitigate the effect of heat permeated into the shelter by solar radiation.
Natural ventilation often does not allow to bring any appreciable benefit, especially in the summer and in areas with hot and humid climate and low winds. It is therefore necessary the use of forced ventilation longitudinal or on the ceiling, depending on the structure where they will be installed.
